About My Sessions


1) Sessions are rooted in psychology, neurobiology, and music therapy, and will be designed and customized for you specifically. Plans will be made together, incorporating your needs, values, preferences, and opinions.

2) You can explore, identify, reframe, and restructure what you experienced and what you are experiencing through non-verbal, strength-based, participatory and self-empowering ways.

3) My approach integrates the best practices currently used in trauma-informed care with research-proven methods on the effective use of music and creative arts in the process of trauma recovery.

4) On top of conventional music therapy, cultural and religious inspirations stemming from my experiences in places such as Japan, Europe, the Middle East, and India are incorporated into sessions, resulting in a more holistic approach and perspective.

Equity is a core value in my therapy practice.

It is my belief that we should all have access to support for our own mental, emotional, physiological, cultural, and spiritual wellbeing, no matter what challenges we are experiencing. 

In reality, however, there are various barriers to accessing and benefiting from healthcare support, including but not limited to financial, cultural, and systemic barriers. 

Based on my core value, I offer equity-based rates upon request. If you are someone who identifies yourself as a person of color, a 2SLGBTQIA+ person, or a person with a low-income, and are interested in this opportunity, please include this information in your initial contact. I will do my best to accommodate a rate and session structure that works best for you.
